The 2013-2014 term was a year of drastic changes for me. I moved out of my house and into a one-bedroom apartment I shared with a girl from Chicago whom I had absolute nada in common with. Always more of a guys girl (you can thank my brother for that), I faced my fear of socializing with large groups of girls and joined a sorority. Until then, I had never found myself surrounded by so many attractive, accomplished girls who are just my age.
Water You Up To Tonight?

High-fructose corn syrup, fructose, fruit juice concentrates, honey, syrup, corn syrup, sucrose, dextrose…. These are all fancy synonyms for an ingredient we all know too well: sugar. Gatorade, Snapple, soda and fruit juices all contain one or more of the previous empty-calorie sweeteners. Drinking too many sugary drinks can contribute to being overweight or obese as well as a variety of other adverse health effects. It’s addictive, bad for your teeth, has no nutritional value, can lead to diabetes and raises your cholesterol. Now’s the perfect time to take control of your finances, learn to save here and there and understand the full value of managing and spending money earned.

Alexa Trujillo is a current junior studying business with a minor in web technologies and web applications. She has been involved in the Alumni Committee for USG, was a USC Song Girl last year and is an active member of Delta Gamma. Alexa, though beautiful inside and out, faces the same feelings of self-doubt that many girls experience throughout college and their entire lives. She has made it her goal to let go of that negative mindset and to start anew with a club that will empower girls at USC and help them find their inner strength and beauty.
USC's Fall Career Fair

I was in desperate need of a new bike lock last spring and found one after browsing USC’s “Free & For Sale” Facebook page. I met outside of campus with a student who was coincidentally also studying Public Relations in Annenberg and we immediately began to talk about our plans for summer (I was starting my first internship and she was starting her first job following graduation). I asked her for advice on how I too can lock in a full-time position upon gradation.
