Best Flicks: Springfest 2018
By: Joy Ofodu ‘18
Each Spring, thousands of USC students flock to McCarthy Quad for the Springfest experience: a day-long event hosted by USC Concerts Committee that combines food, prizes and anticipated performers!
Saturday’s event invited featured vendors (i.e. Target, Tinder), activities, food trucks and musicians including Playboi Carti and Glass Animals
Students had to pre-register this year, making for one of the most packed (and safe) Springfests yet. It’s been a long midterm season of Ls; we could use a W!
Playboi Carti brought out the Milly Rock in every attending Trojan
He encouraged attendees not only to mosh, but also to secure bags together
Even USC Hoops and Football student athletes took one night off to vibe!

Concerts Committee and its invited performers absolutely outdid themselves when it came to lighting, sound and smoke - the views and colors this Springfest were spectacular, and can’t compare to any we’ve had thus far!
One final fan favorite flick comes as an honorable mention, lifted from the @glassanimals Instagram - this pineapple absolutely stole the show!
“Glass Animals is best known for their song “Gooey,” which has garnered more than 116 million plays on Spotify. The group’s four members met in secondary school in Oxford, England, and formed the band in 2010 during college.” - DT
And now, the curse of Springfest: waiting for the next one!
