Meet Emily

Hello Tumblr.  We meet at last.  You are the last social media frontier that I haven’t posted on.  Now that we’ve met, I couldn’t be any happier!! I’ve blogged before on espnW representing the USC Women’s Volleyball team, but after a semester of silence the opportunity to share the USC experience on Trojans 360 was a calling I couldn’t refuse. So hello Tumblr, friends, and prospective new readers!

College is a time where you are supposed to find and discover yourself, yet when someone asks for my life story there’s always a long pause.  College has not made it easier to find myself; it has broadened and deepened the person I have become.  Four years ago I would have never seen myself enjoying blogging, pursing a Masters, or playing sand volleyball, but here I am doing just that. College has added to the person I am and I feel like the best compliment I can receive is—“wow, is there anything you haven’t done?”

University of Southern California is a place of endless opportunities.  We have almost 900 student organizations, some of the best faculty and programs, along with worldwide connections through this miraculous thing called the Trojan Family.  I only have one more year at USC and I want to experience it all.  I encourage you to take the challenge with me: go to a new program, make a new connection, take a fun class, go on new adventures, and most importantly—Fight On!
