Student: I am an International Relations major, and recently added a double minor in Spanish and Communications Design. Outside of class,I have participated in an undergraduate research team focused on foreign affairs, and am currently a junior correspondent with USC’s student run publication Glimpse from the Globe, which allows me to publish analytical articles online

Volunteer:
Community service has been a highlight of my USC experience. In Fall 2016, I was awarded the Spanish and Portuguese Department Mentor Award for my work in the Feliz en Español program, during which I created and presented Spanish lessons for first graders. That semester, I also participated in the Joint Educational Project. Through JEP, I was assigned to the Children Youth and Family Collaborative after school program at Dorsey High School. I fell in love with the program and decided to remain with CYFC even after my 8 weeks as a JEP volunteer had ended. Now, it has been well over a year and I am still volunteering there every week!

Friend:  I am sometimes referred to as The Mom Friend because of my perpetual sobriety and supportive nature, but I pride myself on being The Friend for Any Situation. Last minute trip to the beach? I’m there. Need someone to talk to at 12 am? I love to listen. Study buddy or gym partner? I can do both. Probably my favorite thing about college is how you can make friends in the most random places. Some of my closest friends are students I just happened to sit next to in class or at the dining hall!

Catholic Trojan: My first experience with the Caruso Catholic Center was pretty intense. I signed up for the Alternative Spring Break program and found myself in Tijuana, Mexico working construction with a small group of fellow students. Those students were strangers at the beginning of the trip, but became some of my closest friends! Nowadays, you can usually find me in the Caruso Center library on Sundays while I cram in some homework before evening mass and the (free!) community dinner.

These are just a few of the roles that dominate my life here at USC. Not mentioned: Diehard Trojan Sports Fan, Improv Enthusiast, Aspiring Photographer, and Ono’s Hawaiian BBQ Lover. If I seem like someone you could be friends with or if you have any questions about my involvement at USC, feel free to hit me up on Facebook or Instagram.
