Post-Finals Recovery Guide

By Samantha Romero ‘16

Late night studying for finals and stress can take a toll on your immune system, so here’s a simple post-finals recovery guide to get you ready for summer.

1.Drink Lots of Water

Sometimes finals means losing count of how many double shot lattes you had to keep you awake during those late night study sessions. For this reason it’s super important to hyrdate your body with plenty of water.

Benefits of Water:

  • Removes toxins
  • Raises energy level
  • Promotes healthy skin
  • Hydrates brain cells
  • Boosts your immune system

2.Take Your Vitamins

One way to boost your immune system is to take a multi-vitamin. Simply go to your local drugstore to pick up a pack. My favorite are the sweet fruit gummy multi-vitamins from Target.

3.Take Extra Vitamin C

You’re not the only one losing sleep which means others around you might be getting sick as well. I’ve found that taking Emergen-C or similar products help me give an extra boost to fight the germs.

4.Get Plenty of Sleep

This is super important especially after losing out of vital sleep so make sure you get plenty of so your body can recuperate.

Benefits of Sleep:

  • Helps Keep Your Heart Healthy
  • Improves Memory
  • Helps Reduce Stress
  • Makes you more alert
  • Allows your body to repair

5. Fuel Your Body

Try to make healthy options so you can fuel your body with the necessary nutrients it needs to fight any lingering cold.

6.Take It Easy

Relax for a few days so you can allow your body to fully recuperate. Once your body is refueled and energized you will be ready to jump right into your summer activities!
