Top 10 Places to Study Around Campus

By: Sydney Fiorentino ‘24

As midterm and final bear around the corner, it’s time to study and get assignments done! If you are tired of studying at home and want to get on campus, here are my top 10 places to work!

Fertitta Hall

The beautiful business building located at the edge of campus has many places to study. There are study rooms above the main floor, the business library on the main floor, and couches and tables right as you enter Fertitta. There are also a few tables outside once you enter the main entrance of Fertitta as well. If you get hungry, there’s a café with salmon bowls and Bahn mis for you to try!

Near the Ronald Tutor Campus Center Fountain

If you like being around people when working, the RTCC area outside is a nice (but busy) place to work. I love being around people when working, and I usually sit by the fountain as it adds a nice background noise when I’m working.

 E-Quad

The engineering quad is also a nice place to get work done. It’s usually pretty peaceful around e-quad, but there are people walking to and from class around you too! It’s a good outdoor area to study, but unfortunately does not have outlets.

Leavy Library

A classic library for you to go to that is usually open 24/7. I usually go to the basement as there is some noise and you can talk with others in that area. However, if you want more of a peaceful environment, go to the 2nd or 3rd floor! You can also reserve study rooms as well.

 Verna and Peter Dauterive Hall

This building located off of Pardee Way and across from Popovich Hall is such a nice and peaceful area to study at. There is a mini courtyard outside this building if you prefer to study outside. But you can also study inside VPD too where it’s very quiet inside.

 Wallis Annenberg Hall

While people go in and out of class, this building is so beautiful to work at. Right outside the media center, you can study while also being around people!

Grace Ford Salvatori Hall

While busy with people going in and out of class, GFS has a lot of chairs and couches for you to sit and complete work on! It’s generally quiet, and right outside GFS are tents set up with chairs if you prefer to sit outside.

 Ministry of Coffee

I’m also a big fan of coffee shops and the general vibe of completing work at them is so fun. Ministry of Coffee is located off of 32nd street, near the Church off of Hoover St.

 Starbucks

There are multiple Starbucks around campus. I like working in the village Starbucks because of the location and the general busy environment and seeing people while doing work. However, there is one sit down Starbucks next to 505 apartments off of Figueroa, which is a generally more peaceful Starbucks to work at.

 Outside in the Village

While hard to get a table sometimes, working outside in the Village is exciting, peaceful, plus your surrounded by students! You can grab some food or a coffee from Dulce and get work done in the sun!

While there are so many other places to get work done (like outside the Law School or outside Tutor Hall), these 10 are my favorite and where you’d most likely find me at! Try out these locations and hopefully one of them will bring you productivity! See you around campus!
