So if you want to see improve your grades and increase your ability to concentrate consider your breakfast options.
Here are some quick breakfast ideas to keep you powered through your school day.
1.Peanut Butter Banana Toast with Granola and Honey
This scrumptious recipe will leave you drooling over the hearty peanut butter and granola. The honey adds an extra touch of sweetness. Simply toast your bread and apply your favorite peanut butter.
I love to use the all natural peanut butter from Trader Joe’s, it’s nice and thick with a smooth finish on the toast. For honey, I like to use agave, but it’s totally up to your preference. Once you are finished simply place it on a napkin to go or in a tupper ware so there are no mishaps.

2. Lenny and Larry’s Complete Cookie
If you are already out the door and have no time to prepare something I recommend stopping at the bookstore on campus or any other little vendor to pick up one of Lenny and Larry’s Complete Cookie. Not only are they extremely delicious but they are also a great for quick healthy snack.
Firstly, they’re made in a bakery with no GMO’s, no artificial sweetners, no cholesterol, no high fructose corn syrups, kosher, soy free and more. It doesn’t get better than these cookies that are also great sources of fiber. Plus, there are a variety of flavors such as: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, birthday cake, coconut chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, peanut butter, white chocolate macadamia, pumpkin spice and oatmeal raisin.
If you’d like to save a few dollars, I recommend ordering a box online at the oroginal site here or at a Vitamin Shoppe near you.
3. Strawberry Protein Shake
If you’re a sweet tooth like me then you won’t mind this sweet blend. Smoothies are my go to option when I have little time to spare. Plus, as a commuting student it’s easy to handle while driving to school. For this particular recipe make sure to choose a protein powder of your choice, this will help you feel fuller longer. You can also add flavored greek yogurt to add some thickness to your smoothie. Simply blend all the ingredients- frozen strawberries, greek yogurt, ice, almond milk, and protein powder and voila! Just like that in under 10 minutes you can have a smoothie ready to go.
On a side note you can also substitute the strawberries for any fruit of your choice. Experiment with fruits and see which one is your favorite!
4. Trader Joe’s Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Another quickie, is my favorite muffin from Trader Joe’s, the Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin. You can get a 4-pack for only $4 instead of spending that amount for one muffin elsewhere. It’s a delicious option that makes for great grab-and-go breakfast option.
If you love baking and you have the time then you should totally try it, as for myself I’m a terrible baker so I think I’ll stick to Trader Joe’s.
5.Spinach Feta Wrap and Chipotle Chicken Sandwich
If you’re Starbies lover then this breakfast option will suit you. I’ve been a long term Spinach feta Wrap fan given that it’s healthy combo of spinach, sun dried tomatoes, egg whites and a wheat tortilla. However, I was just recently introduced to the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. It’s packed with flavor and chipotle chicken is just the right amount of spicy. If you prefer an extra kick of spice then try their new sriracha packets.
Plus, you can have side of your favorite drink to accompany your savory breakfast.
6.Belgian Waffles with Yogurt and Berries
For a quick warm breakfast, consider a belgian waffle topped with yogurt and berries. You can purchase toastable waffles at your local market to save you time. Simply toast your waffle and top it with your yogurt of choice. Add a sweet kick by adding blueberries and raspberries with a drizzle of honey.
7.Blueberry and Maple-Pecan Granola Parfaits
Try this three ingredient parfait for a quick on-the-go breakfast. All you need is 2 cups of vanilla fat-free yogurt, 2 cups blueberries and 1 cup Maple-Pecan Granola. If you’d like you can substitute the granola for any particular favorite. Try getting a little fancy by creating multiple layers of granola, berries, and yogurt. You can also use a Mason Jar to package your tasty parfait.

These cups-to-go are easy to carry in your backpack. There are a variety of flavors to choose from like summer berry, apple walnut, peach almond, cherry pistachio, or maple brown sugar.
