If you were to ask me what are my favorite past-times, food would definitely be involved. I love trying foods and finding hole in the wall restaurants that surpass my expectations. This week, these are the restaurants that I’m loving. From oven baked pizza to gourmet sushi, try one or try them all!

1.The Lovesong

Located in the heart of Los Angeles is a favorite bar of mine and pizzeria known as the Lovesong. The ambiance is rustic yet classy. If it’s your first time I recommend on visiting during happy hour. During happy offer they offer $4-6 mini pizzas or as they call it “pizettas.” From the classic margarita pizza to tapenade pizza, my personal favorite.

2.Blossom

As you may already know, LA’s weather is tempermental, it can be freezing on a Monday and scorching hot on a Wednesday. That’s why I love Blossom, a pho restaurant located on Main St., because it’s there for me on those chilly days when I’m looking for a heart warming fresh soup. Their thai tea is also a delicious compliment to the pho. Not only is the service wuick, but it’s also ideal for the quick catchup with friends.

3.La Reina Tacos

Located on the corner of 7th and Mateo, tight across from Pizzanista is the best taco stand you will ever try in your life. Yes, I am that serious! Might as well get the elephant out of the room and confirm that yes it looks super sketchy but don’t let that bias your opinion about La Reina Tacos until you try them. They serve pure bliss for only $1.25 per taco. Did I mention they also make burritos larger than chipotle and the guacamole does not cost extra? Yes, I know, take a moment for that to settle in. Anyway, I recommend all of their meats, however I admit I’m a fan of their chorizo.

4.Sugarfish

I can be particular when it comes to sushi. Especially whether the rice has been cooked well to the flavoring of the sauces, but I don’t have to worry about any of that when I go to Sugarfish. In fact, I don’t even have to use a dipping sauce, the sushi is perfect on it’s own. If it’s your first time visiting Sugarfish I recommend ordering the “Trust Me Lite.” For only $19 you receive organic edamame, tuna sashimi, albacore sushi, salmon sushi, nozawa shrimp sushi, and the toro hand roll. So as you can see you get to try an assortment of sushi while familiarizing with the flavorful craft sushi from Sugrafish.

5.Gill’s

I am big fan of Indian food, so when I came across Gill’s I was pleasantly pleased. Located on Grand near FIDM, this little joint is the real deal when it comes to Indian cuisine. Plus, they also provide the options of delivery. My favorite dish is the chicken curry and the popular samosa’s.
