A Club/Organization For Every Type of Person

Looking to learn a new hobby for the new year? Hoping to rediscover one? If so, the Involvement Fair would have been a great place to start. If you didn’t get a chance to stroll through Trousdale during the beginning of the semester and browse the hundreds of clubs on display, it’s not too late! No matter your major or interest, there truly is a club for everyone — and I’ve laid out a few in this post for you! Keep in mind that this isn’t even a handful of the numerous clubs available at USC. From professional organizations tailored specifically to your major to cultural clubs meant to create safe spaces, there truly is a club for almost every single thing you could imagine, but out of all of them, regardless of your major, identity, or perceived talent — these are a few I think most people would enjoy.

If you can never put your camera down…

USC Photography

Document your California experience in one of the most beautiful ways possible with this photo club! Develop your skills, connect with fellow creatives, go on retreats, create zines, participate in galleries and so much more!

If you love to stay organized…

SC Bullet Journal Club

Bullet journaling is a creative way to track your schedule, budget, meals, habits and anything else you can think of. Offering up free snacks and communal supplies, all you need is a journal to join!

If you wish USC had better green spaces…

USC Garden Club

Meet up with other nature enthusiasts to volunteer at the Parkside Garden! Weed, pull, water, compost, harvest and plant all sorts of produce! Even if you can’t make their meeting times, the garden is still open to hang out.

If you feel trapped in the big city…

Peaks and Professors

This organization was designed to connect students with professors by way of exploring the great outdoors! Tour all of California’s (and it’s neighboring states’) mountains, peaks, and trails through hikes and overnight trips. All for as low as $5!

If you’ve always wanted to be in an action movie…

Trojan Stunts

Learn fight choreography straight from the films and workout with actual stuntmen! No prior experience required!

If you love to do party tricks…

USC Juggling Club

No experience or equipment necessary! Just meet fellow students at Alumni Park for a bit of fun!

If you love to debate…

USC Mock Trial

Law school prep, class credit, and lots of fun — Mock Trial is a great way to make sure you always win your arguments!

If you never miss a single USC sports game…

Trojan Pride

Ever wondered who organizes the crowd stunts at Football games? Who the group is that hosts things like Pie-The-Bruin and Pumpkin Carking Contests? Look no further — it’s Trojan Pride!

If you haven’t done art since you were a kid…

Art On The Grass

65% of college students reported overwhelming anxiety the past year and this club aims to correct that! Created to be a therapeutic, judgement-free art space to help students destress, this club invites its members to go outside and take part in some art therapy once a week!

Meet up with others to either learn how to play or to brush up on your skills!

Remedy Through Music

If you’re a musician wanting to connect with fellow creatives, practice their craft, or play for a good cause — this is for you!

USC Literary Society

A home for both writers and readers alike, with this club you can take part in poetry nights, speaker panels, workshops and more!

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to dance…

SC Ballroom Dance Team

Welcome to both beginner and experienced dancers, this club offers classes in nine different dance styles! Come just to learn or to compete! It’s up to you!

If you get nervous speaking up in class…

Trojan Toastmasters

Trying to get rid of a stutter?  Want to gain confidence when speaking? Practice by giving impromptu speeches in a supportive, nonjudgemental environment.

For those who love to teach kids…

USC Science Outreach

Want to teach kids how to make bottle rockets? Straw bridges? Bottle biomes? You don’t have to be a science major to spend two hours of your week learning and teaching lesson plans to kids in the local area! Interested in giving back to the community? Check them out!

If you love card games…

USC’s Premier Poker Club

Meet up with others to either learn how to play or to brush up on your skills!

If you have always wanted learn another language…

USC ASL Club

With a goal to introduce hearing people to another community, participate in interactive lessons about the alphabet/numbers, food, holidays, classroom items and everything else in between!

Chanoyu Tea Club

This club is dedicated to promoting Japanese tea practices and culture. Practice how to gracefully make, present, and drink tea. Plus, you’ll get to eat a bunch of sweets while doing so!

If you love to read, but struggle to find time for it amidst all your schoolwork…

Girls Who Read

Despite its name, this club is open to anyone who would like to join! Once a month, choose a book to read and discuss it with fellow members!

If you want to start a business, but aren’t exactly sure where to start…

Spark SC

This is a student-run entrepreneurship ecosystem at USC dedicated to building communities, unlocking opportunities, and expanding social impact for current and budding entrepreneurs. From mixers to business trips, there’s something for everyone!

If you love to talk about conspiracy theories…

The Rabbit Hole Club

This club allows students to discuss events which might have been intentionally and maliciously misdocumented. This club has also been featured on Trojans 360 before so you can learn more about it here!
