Exploring Fitness Classes Near USC

Staying active while juggling academics can be challenging, but fortunately, the area around USC offers a variety of fitness classes that cater to different workout preferences. Whether you’re into high-intensity interval training or prefer the mind-body balance of yoga, there’s a class for everyone. Check out some of my favorites!
Corepower Yoga is perfect for those looking to combine strength training and flexibility with a meditative flow. Offering a variety of class types, from heated Power Yoga to more gentle Yoga Sculpt classes, it’s a great way to relieve stress after a long day of classes. Located conveniently at the USC Village, Corepower Yoga makes it easy to sneak in a workout between study sessions.
If you're a cardio junkie, SoulCycle is amazing for an energetic, music-driven cycling class. Known for its upbeat atmosphere, the dim lights, and high-energy playlists make every class feel like a dance party. Each instructor has their own vibe, so you can find the perfect rhythm that suits your style. Keep an eye out for themed classes. They’re my personal favorite!
Barry’s Bootcamp is all about high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and strength training. Classes are split between treadmill or cycling intervals and floor-based strength exercises, which ensures you get a full-body workout. It's a great option if you like to push yourself hard and enjoy working with weights.
Lagree is a Pilates-inspired workout designed to tone muscles and improve core strength. Using a specialized machine called the megaformer, this low-impact class focuses on slow, controlled movements to target every muscle group. It’s the ideal class for anyone looking to sculpt their body without heavy weights or high impact on the joints.
Similar to Lagree, Solidcore is another low-impact, high-intensity class, but it takes the intensity up a notch. Solidcore uses resistance-based workouts to engage muscles in a slow and controlled manner. The small class sizes and attentive instructors ensure you're working effectively.
Burn Boot Camp focuses on high-intensity functional fitness in a group setting. Their 45-minute camps change daily, so you never do the same workout twice. It’s a supportive, community-driven environment, and it’s perfect if you enjoy working out with others and getting your sweat on with new moves each day.
Orangetheory is a heart rate-based interval training program that uses a combination of treadmills, rowing machines, and strength floor exercises. What sets it apart is the real-time tracking of your heart rate, displayed on monitors around the room, allowing you to push yourself into the "orange zone" for maximum calorie burn.
