5 Healthy Joints in DTLA
By Samantha Romero ‘16
Don’t let finals week take a toll on your health. Here is a curated list of my favorite healthy joints in DTLA that will have you feeling refreshed and focused.
1.Simply Salad
Salad lovers unite! If there was a salad heaven then Simply Salad would be it. You can create a unique salad in three simple steps.
First, you choose from a variety of greens to serve as the base of your salad. Second, have fun choosing between the thirty different toppings. Don’t forget your meats! (You must try the chicken pesto or the roasted turkey breast!) Finally, choose your dressing and cheese and voila!
If you prefer something quick and easy choose one of their signature salads or wraps like “Thai It Up” or “Chinatown”. Also FYI, all of their signature salads can be ordered as a wrap as well!

2.Juice Crafters
The perfect alternative to the typical coffee run, Juice crafters is a juicery located in the bustling streets of DTLA. I love that they use fresh organic produce because you know you will be getting the best for your buck.
Their signature powerhouse smoothies will leave you feeling pumped and energized.
Address:
702 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014
3.Green Grotto Juice Bar
I love Green Grotto because the ambiance is super welcoming. Unlike most juiceries that are a quick grab and go, green grotto is student-friendly because of their free-wifi, comfy seating and WAIT FOR IT… charging outlets!!!
So grab your study buddy and head down to Spring St. and try their specialty shots!
Address:
541 S Spring St #133, Los Angeles, CA 90013
4.Verve Coffee Roasters + Juice Served Here
If you must have your coffee then I would head to verve, where you can get both coffee and fresh juice from Juice Served Here. Not only are the colorful drinks Instagram worthy but they’ll also jam packed with vitamins and minerals to keep you feeling your best.
Address: 833 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014
5.Local Table
Albeit on the fancier side, Local Table does not disappoint. I love their cold pressed juices, especially the savory blend known ad “d.tox”.
