How to Prepare for the USC Career Fair

The first step to prepare for any event is to know when it is and RSVP. This Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm, the USC Career Center is hosting their Fall Career Fair. There will be over 160 different company booths lined up across Trousdale Parkway with recruiters looking to network, collect resumes, and hire USC students. Summer Recap of Work On It Wednesday

I created Work On It Wednesday around the idea of taking time each week to invest in long-term career planning and building a personal image. During summer I found that it was easy to put my long-term career planning on the back burner when I didn’t have a set routine. An elevator pitch is a speech designed to capture someone’s attention and answer the universal question “tell me about yourself.” In about 30-45 seconds, the length of an elevator ride, you should get across who you are and what you aspire to become.
