By: Sophia Williams ‘22

Rom-Coms seem to get all the shine whenever Valentine’s Day comes around, but there’s something to be said for the iconic V-day themed TV episodes as well. Whether you’re cuddled up with your soulmate, having a galentine’s day, or just practicing some self-love, here are some Valentine’s Day TV episodes to keep you entertained.

Galentine’s Day and Operation Ann

Why they’re worth the watch: Mother/Daughter dynamics, the importance of friendship, and these episodes literally invented the term “galentine”!

Crazy Cupid Love

Season: 5

Where to Watch: HBO Max (which all USC students get for free!)

Why it’s worth the watch: Even if you’re not a part of Gossip Girl’s cult following, the glamorous life of Upper East Side teens will have you hooked. Not to mention we get some serious “Dair” action (Blair + Dan people–come on!)

Valentine’s Day

Show: Sister Sister

Why it’s worth the watch: Hilarious and love-able shenanigans from TV’s most legendary twins, plus, things heat up between Ray and Lisa. Do I need to say it? GO HOME ROGER!

You Also Have a Pizza

Why it’s worth the watch: Guaranteed to get you in your feels. Examines the various shapes and forms that love comes in. Have the tissues on standby.

Silly Love Songs

Why it’s worth the watch: All of my “Gleek” bias aside, you can’t help but enjoy a Valentine’s Day story accompanied by some classic love songs.

Valentine’s Day

Why it’s worth the watch: Cute Jim and Pam moments. Bob Vance. Need I say more?

I Love You Penny Proud

Show: The Proud Family

My Funky Valentine

Show: Modern Family

Season: 1

Where to watch: Peacock

Why it’s worth the watch: Besides the fact that season 1 of Modern Family is some of the sharpest and wittiest TV ever, in this episode we meet the iconic and sexy Clive Bixby (Phil’s alter ego).

Hearts and Minds

Show: That’s So Raven

Season: 2

Where to watch: Disney Plus

Why it’s worth the watch: For all the big sisters out there- this one is sure to touch your heart. Watch Raven do a little meddling by self-appointing herself as Cory’s wingwoman.
