What It’s Like to Work for Trojans360

By: Claire Wong ‘23

As an incoming freshman, I was a big fan of Trojans360! I loved reading about different students’ campus experiences and used it as a tool as I prepared to move-in to my first college dorm! Recently, I found out that Trojans360 PAYS its writers to talk about their different experiences. I of course applied and was hired just last spring and have absolutely loved my time here. This is what it is like to work for Trojans360!

What do you do at Trojans360?

Working at Trojans360 is super flexible! Here is what a typical semester with Trojans360 looks like:

  • Write 6-10 posts each semester (this may change semester to semester)

  • Pitch an article idea that relates to one of the blog topics:

  • Write your article and post on the blog, editors will review and revise as needed

  • Attend one 30 minute staff meeting once a month

Who can work at Trojans360?

Any undergraduate student can work with Trojans360! We welcome all students of any major. There is no writing experience required (although preferred), you just have to be willing to write about your experiences at USC!

Why do you like working at Trojans360?

I love the flexibility of Trojans360! I can write on topics that interest me most and write at times when I am free. One of my favorite takeaways from Trojans360 is the opportunity to meet and interview students with really inspiring stories and passions across campus! My favorite interview was with Adele Biraghi as it was so inspiring to get to talk to a fellow SCA student that had much much more experience and wisdom in the industry.

Do you get paid with Trojans360?

Yes! Writers get paid by the hour and self-report their hours via Workday. Writers are not required to have work study and everyone is welcome to apply!

How can I apply?

Trojans360 usually recruits during the beginning of each semester. The number of writers hired depends semester to semester as writers are needed. Follow Trojans360 on Instagram @trojans360 for updates on hiring and do not hesitate to reach out to usctrojans360@gmail.com with any questions.
