What to Do While Waiting for Your Professor to Update Blackboard

So if your professors misinterpret the definition of “midterm” like my professors do, you probably have tests these last two weeks. Additionally, if your professors are still as illerate on Blackboard as they are in literary definitions, you’re still probably waiting for a grade. This can be an excruciating process but FEAR NOT! I got you covered for things you can do to pass the time while waiting for the grade to be updated.

Study

HAHAHAHAHHAA okay seriously let’s start the list.

Start calculating how hard you are going to have to study on the final

Well if I got an 80 on this test, I could still get an A in the class if I get a *math noises* 90 on the final. Totally plausible.

Call your parents.

Make sure they know you’re alive. You will probably have to say you’re fine. You also want to call them before you find your grade because if it’s bad, your mom will know. She just will.

Drink water

You probably don’t do enough of that per day so you should, you know, stay healthy.

Do your laundry

You probably haven’t done it in a while. Clean sheets are the best so find your detergent and get to work.

Clean your room…

You can’t focus on your grade if there are papers everywhere and your clean laundry laying back on the floor.

… but find someone halfway through that will make you stop cleaning for 30 minutes

I TOTALLY FORGOT I BROUGHT MY UKELELE TO SCHOOL. I HAVEN’T PLAYED “SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW” IN SO LONG!!!

Go on Youtube or Netflix to occupy your mind

Your favorite youtuber or favorite show can definitely help you at this moment. Listening to people discuss memes and watching House of Cards is more important. Definitely. Can confirm.

Work out

Or, you know, walk down the stairs to get food and walk back up them again. What is exercise to some is not exercise to all.

Don’t freak out about the grade…

It is not the end of the world if you did bad. You are a strong person and one grade or one class will not break you. You got into USC. You’re smart. You got this.
