5 Sweet Things You Can Do For Your Valentine

By Judy Lee ‘17

The anticipated (and dreaded) day of love is approaching soon! Whether you’re forever alone, or in a relationship—it’s a great day to treat yo self and/or others. If you want a thoughtful and low-cost idea in a jiffy, here are five! And remember, “them” can also refer to your #1 (yourself!):

1.    Make them a playlist

Cheesy, yet adorable. Playlists can seem very easy to compile, but they really do take a lot of time and effort to arrange for a very special someone. Whether that someone is your SO or yourself, take the time to be caring and crafty with this zero-cost present!

 2.    Create a pop up Valentine’s Day card

Be sweet a la third grade. Remember the days of panoramas and pop up cards? They’re still valid ideas and ready to go with just a quick search on the ol’ Pinterest.

3.    Buy them flower seeds

Buying people flowers is both cliché and overrated. They die within the week and may be forgotten after a while. Why not let them watch your love grow by buying flower seeds and planting them in a vase yourself?

4.    Send for a pizza and write “You’ve Got a Pizza My Heart” on the box

Good news! You can be adorable AND still have pizza. No-brainer, all-fooder.

5.    Find a movie/TV show suggestion to watch based on what you know of their current favorites!

This is another one of those underrated ideas that is also a win-win situation! You are just one Netflix study session away from finding out a good cuddle flick for you (and your bae). It shows you’re down to kick it and be gung ho about Valentine’s, but also that you had enough care to tailor the activity to their desires.
