List of Discounts and Free Subscriptions for USC Students

One of the perks of being a USC student is the wealth of discounts available to many of your favorite brands. From free streaming subscriptions to discounted or even free entrance to theme parks and museums around LA, there are many ways to save money during your time at USC.
Subscriptions
HBO Max
With your student email, you can access hundreds of TV shows and movies through HBOMax. After selecting “sign in,” choose “sign in through a TV mobile or provider,” then choose “view all providers,” and select “Univ. of Southern California.” It will prompt you to sign in with your USC credentials, and you’ll be able to start your movie marathon right away.
Los Angeles Times and New York Times
With your USC email, students also have free digital subscriptions to both the Los Angeles Times and New York Times newspapers which can be very helpful for classes you might be taking.
Linkedln Learning
You also have free access to Linkedln Learning, an online training provider that includes more than 8,200 video and audio courses that covers a broad range of topics helpful to your future career such as business, technology, design, and more.
Microsoft Office
Students also have free access to the latest version of Microsoft Office Suit on their personal devices which comes with a variety of programs such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint that you’ll likely need for class. You can access the software here. Sign in with your USC email address to download Microsoft Office.
Theaters
Students get discounted ticket prices to select movie theaters if tickets are purchased in-person at the USC Ticket Office on the University Park Campus (located at the Galen Center) or on the One Stop at HSC. Here are the participating theaters:

Theme Parks
If you’re in the mood to visit one of California’s famous theme parks or see a world renowned zoo, discounted tickets are available in-person at the USC Ticket Office.
Knott’s Berry Farm has everything from rides to shows to attractions located throughout four theme parks inspired by California’s culture and history.
Visit the Los Angeles Zoo to see more than 270 different species of animals, various exhibits, and their beautiful botanical gardens containing plants from all over the world.
The San Diego Zoo Houses over 12,000 animals across 680 different species and subspecies of animals (as of July 2024), as well as a botanical garden that boasts 3,100 species of plants. They even have a gondola that allows you to fly over the park and take it all in.
The San Diego Safari Park is a 1,800 acre wildlife park housing more than 300 species of animals and a botanical collection with over 3,700 species of plants. Visitors can see wildlife herds roaming their savannah habitats and purchase guided safari tours to get an up close experience with the animals.
Six Flags is home to 20 roller coasters, more than any other theme park in the world! With thrill rides, to family rides, to kid rides, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Come visit Southern California’s largest aquarium housing around 12,000 animals and more than 100 exhibits dedicated to the Pacific Ocean.
Visit Legoland to experience the more than 60 rides, shows, and attractions this theme park has to offer.
There is something for everyone at Universal Studios Hollywood with multiple themed immersive worlds such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, and more.
Museums
If you don’t want to bother with getting tickets on campus, students have free admission to many museums around LA with their USC Student ID.
Visit La Brea Tar Pits to experience the only active urban fossil site in the world! See fossil discoveries like mammoths, saber-toothed cats, giant sloths, and more displayed in the museum's exhibits.
The California African American Museum’s permanent collection holds over 5,000 objects spanning from paintings to photographs to historical documents and more dating from the 1800s to the present. The collection is dedicated to the contributions of African Americans along with works from the African diaspora.
The Natural History Museum is one of LA’s oldest cultural institutions containing a wide range of exhibits such as the Age of Mammals, the Dinosaur Hall, the Gem and Mineral Hall, and more. It’s conveniently located just across the street from campus!
The Norton Simon Museum holds around 12,000 artistic works from around the world including six works by Van Gogh, three portraits by Rembrandt, and a collection of Indian and Southeast Asian sculptures spanning over 2,500 years.
