USC Athletics Recruiting - Working in “The Office”
By: Joy Ofodu ‘18
The flyest on-campus job you’ve never heard of? Think: watching every home game from the field, working with players like Iman Marshall and Velus Jones Jr. to host recruits and reporting back to one of the nation’s top university Athletics facilities every week. I had the chance to sit down with Taylor Lott (left) and Haley Coleman (right), two Recruiting & Operations Assistants for USC Athletics. Both are seniors in Marshall and Annenberg, respectively, and key-holders to an exclusive, fast-paced working world that changes the face of the USC football team each year. Let’s go behind the scenes of USC Football, through Taylor and Haley’s eyes!

By: Emily Young MA ‘16
My last spring break at USC has come and gone. I posted a picture encapsulating my trip with the caption, “good friends is what brings you pleasure in paradise.” I’m so fortunate to have taken a trip to Hawaii with my USC Beach Volleyball teammates. Presenting USC’s 123rd National Champions: Continuing a Trojan Tradition
By: Emily Young MA ‘16
One of the main aspects that drew me to University of Southern California was its history of athletic excellence. Since 1912, a USC athlete has won a gold medal in every summer Olympics. USC has produced more Olympians, overall medalists, and gold medalists than any other university in the United States. USC athletics is rich with tradition and it is displayed all around us: the pillars in the Louis Zamperini Plaza of Cromwell Track and Field, Heritage Hall, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and even Tommy Trojan himself was modeled after different USC Football players. There is pride, history, and distinction in putting on a USC jersey. That is why hoisting USC’s 123rd National Championship Ring is so meaningful—it’s tradition.
National Champions Fight On to Victory!

USC Women’s Sand Volleyball had the perfect season—literally. They finished 28-0 with the AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championship trophy in hand. The team brings home USC’s 123rd all-time national championship and I cannot think of a team more deserving for that honor.
Bye-Bye BYU! USC Men’s Volleyball Team Advances in the MPSF
By: Emily Young MA ‘16
Men’s volleyball clinched their last home game with a five set win against BYU in the first round of the MPSF Finals. The epic game was the last match for USC Men’s Volleyball seniors in the Galen Center.
