I’m not usually a sentimental person, but considering the current situation, I think it calls for a little bit of sentimentality and a short reflection of my 4 years at USC.

Mudd Hall, Doheny Library, VKC arches are all great places to take graduation photos at USC. But how often do USC students actually spend the majority of their time at those places? We take an inside look into a student who chose the non-traditional path of graduation photos. When asked why she opted for these unique photos, Anna responded with: “I wanted to take graduation pictures that truly defined my last 4 years at USC. While taking the typical photos on traveler or popping champagne bottles are aesthetically pleasing, I wanted to capture my authentic USC experience. Taking these photos were exhilarating because people were staring at us and taking Snapchats the entire time, but we didn’t care at all. Life is so much more fun when you aren’t afraid to be yourself.” For photography, I personally believe that the best photos are the ones taken with no editing, no filters–just you and the camera. So naturally, when Anna and I combined our ideas this is what we got. We went around some of her favorite spots on campus to shoot for these authentic photos.

Between you and me, I’ve had a pretty rough day. This morning my laptop refused to turn on and since then, I’ve been rather bitter. (Please learn from my mistakes and back up your computers!) Also, s/o to the Laptop Loaner Program for enabling me to write this post. There’s one person who is getting me through these dark and stress-filled times. No, not my mom. Although she’s a constant source of comfort. It’s John William “Will” Ferrell. With Springfest shut down before the headliners and the USC administration forcing Lil Bill’s Bike Shop to move off campus, many USC students, myself included, have been feeling disappointed and frustrated as of late. (Sign the petition to show how much Lil Bill and his shop mean to this campus)! There’s one person who won’t let us down, one person who will always be our ‘Buddy,’ one person willing to be our Anchor(man) when our metaphorical ship veers off course. And that person is Will Ferrell: USC’s 2017 commencement speaker!

It recently came to my attention that I am graduating in less than 2 months, which means these last few weeks as a USC undergrad will be both the best of times and the worst of times. I’m as curious as you are to see what I do after graduation! These last few weeks aren’t all fun and games and increasingly desperate job applications! We, the seniors, have some decisions to make before Commencement 2017.

Number one, get involved. First things first, the transition from high school to a university can be difficult. Afterall it’s a new environment, new people, unfamiliar buildings, and much more. My best advice is to get involved.
