Last week saw the resurgence of not only the Alphas on USC’s campus, but also the Kappas! Officially recognized as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Beta Omega Chapter), USC’s chapter, integrated with LMU and Pepperdine, gained five Trojan members.

What’s remarkable about this chapter is that it is now almost entirely comprised of student athletes. Previously-inducted Kappas like Steven Mitchell Jr. have already made major strides on the field, repping the fraternity with a signature shimmy during the occasional end-zone celebration.

Now boasting talented players from USC’s Football, Basketball and Baseball teams, this Kappa line drew a vibrant crowd of teammates, family and friends to its Fall Probate:

Kappas from previous Lines at USC, LMU and Pepperdine were also there to support, and exhibiting more #blackboyjoy than the walkway outside of Cromwell is used to:

The new Kappa Mamas also made an appearance, flying and driving in to support their sons:

One look at the Nupes’ Instagram shows that their Neos have already dived headfirst into serving the community; the upstanding men spent a better part of the Thanksgiving holiday handing out sandwiches to the homeless on Skid Row and cooking/serving over 100 hot meals to those in need across LA, as is their annual tradition.

Here’s to hoping we’ll see more generous acts of service and more on-field shimmying in the semesters to come!
