USC Senior Run

Moonbounces, slip-in-slides, a beer garden, live music, the USC Marching Band, food trucks, free gear, and a senior victory lap—USC delivered on an epic send-off celebration for seniors.
Congratulations fellow seniors on completing your last undergrad classes at USC! Even though I still have another year to enjoy at USC as a Master’s student, last night I joined my fellow classmates in the senior festivities that took place on campus.
After Senior Fountain Run was canceled, there was a lot of ambiguity of what would actually take place the last Thursday of classes. The administration sanctioned an event called Senior Run and few details were released other than it would be a big block party with music and food. Thursday morning seniors found out what was in store for Senior Run when wristbands for food and drink were handed out and moonbounces appeared in front of Doheny Memorial Library.
I had a fantastic time at Senior Run! It was a great celebration with friends, including my very first USC friends from Fluor Tower, and I reckon I conquered every single moonbounce…twice. At 10:30, seniors congregated at Tommy Trojan to run a victory lap around the track ending the run back at Tommy with the So-Cal Spell-Out.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered and organized the event and kudos to seniors who embraced the new tradition. The administration did a fantastic job listening to the wants of the students: music, food, slip-in-slides and drinks. The administration even added free Senior Run shirts, bags, and water bottles. I’m sure Senior Run will only get better in years to come, but the class of 2015 will be remembered for starting a new tradition.
Fight On Senior Class of 2015!
