Welcome Back Experience: Everything You Need to Know!
USC Student Life Guest Blogger: Amy Argueta ‘24
I hope everyone had a nice summer break! Just like the first day of classes is getting closer, so is the Trojan Welcome Experience! In the week before classes officially start, there’s new events every day to introduce you to the school, allow you to meet fellow Trojans, and celebrate the start of a new semester. Events will be filled with free food, live music, and other amazing opportunities, so don’t miss out!
USC On-Campus Student Job Fair
If you need a job for the school year, then visit the USC On-Campus Student Job Fair on August 18. Find it along Trousdale Parkway from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. On-campus jobs are great ways to build your resume and are designed to be flexible with your school schedule. With over sixty possible employers on site, be sure to prioritize which booths you want to visit most. Once there, you can head straight to the departments you're interested in and learn more about whether the position is a good fit for you.
Welcome Back Concert
This concert is one of the biggest events that the USC Concerts Committee throws every year. Enjoy live music with this year's headliner Pierre Bourne and openers Spill Tab and Frat Mouse! The concert is on August 19th at McCarthy Quad from 6-11 p.m.
Back to SChool Food Truck Fest
Grab some free food and socialize with other students before classes start! Students will receive a ticket to get food from one or two trucks during the event. Vendors include LA Donuts, Snowbizz Snoballs, La Fiesta Mexican Cuisine, and more! Be there on August 20 from 2-5 p.m. at Pardee Plaza.
Fall Involvement Fair
Come meet some of the over a thousand clubs on campus! Find something you're interested in or try something new at one of these orgs. Clubs are a great way to learn new skills or just meet more people, so I highly recommend attending whether you are a new student or returning! The involvement fair will take place from August 22 til August 25 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
These are only a few of the numerous events taking place on campus during the Welcome Experience. To find out about more events happening, visit EngageSC.
