Game of Thrones
By: Grace Carballo ‘17
Yesterday was a particularly great day, not only because it was a Monday, but because Special Events Committee pulled some strings and got HBO to host a Game of Thrones prescreening. See that throne I’m sitting on, that’s the Iron Throne, the real one from the set. It wasn’t particularly comfortable but that’s what power feels like and I loved it. There’s really no turning back now.
Easter @ USC
By: Grace Carballo ‘17
If you are still around campus this weekend and feel a little homesick or miss your family, don’t worry- there are lots of opportunities to celebrate Easter with your Trojan Family and maybe make some new memories.
Tomorrow’s TriFESTa
By: Grace Carballo ‘17
“What are you doing tomorrow?” someone a lot like me might ask you with genuine interest in her tone. If you answered “Nothing” or “Not much” in an effort to curtail this conversation and discourage inevitable follow-up questions, THINK AGAIN. Tomorrow you’re doing much more than “not much” because there are THREE amazing fests (Springfest, Greenfest, and Gearfest) right here on campus for FREE and everyone is welcome.
Looking Back with President Menard
By: Paul Samaha ‘17
“My name is Andrew Menard, and I am the undergraduate student body president. I come to you now as President who only has a couple short months left…”

By: Grace Carballo ‘17
If you’re looking to impress someone with all USC has to offer, take them to the SCA Comedy Live Show this Friday! If you’re looking to really impress them, take them there in one of the free Ubers we now have at our disposal.
Transfer Troubles
By: Mark Love ‘16
The Undergraduate Student Government hosted an event about a week ago where transfer students voiced their personal perils of being the new kids on the block. The main purpose of this event was for USG to create programs to ease the transfer experience based on what was said at the event. Regrettably, I had class during that time, but I still wanted to share my journey as a fellow transfer student myself to show that you can find your groove even if you did have a late start.
Social Event Trends at USC
By: Paul Samaha ‘17
USC is traditionally known as a school that has big social events Thursday-Saturday, and this tradition is very much so held true today. However, different party trends come and go. Here are some social event trends that I’ve noticed so far in the 2014-2015 school year.
Ed Wood Film Festival
By: Grace Carballo ’ 17
On Friday evening I had the pleasure of attending USC’s 19th Annual Ed Wood Film Festival. Getting the chance to show your visiting friends the beauty of the film school itself is one thing, but getting to show them some of the talent of its students is another entirely. The red carpet, assorted cookies, and the general ambience of the Radisson (unrivaled ice water) didn’t hurt, either.
SIT DOWN FOR WHAT?
By: Kelly Kinas ‘17
What’s GOING ON? Guys, obviously DANCE MARATHON! On February 21st, 2015, TROJAN DANCE MARATHON was the place to be from 2pm-2am in the Tutor Campus Center Ballroom. With all of these Trojans dancing for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, one would have to ask how it all came about. Well, lucky for you, dear readers, you have me. While most know me as Kelly, TDM knows me at the Director of Morale and Dancer Relations. And we’ve been working for this one night for 7 months. Intrigued? Let me tell you more.
My First SC Outfitters Backpacking Experience

High above the clouds at an elevation of 8,600ft. we stood in awe as we admired the surrounding natural beauty and majestic views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
USC EdMonth: Spark a Movement
By: Samantha Romero ‘16
For some March is one month closer to Summer but for USC Edmonth it is the month to “spark a movement.”
