USC has the largest international student population on the West Coast. As college decision day approached on May 1st for many of you, I congratulate you if you committed to USC! You’re joining the best family on earth - The Trojan Family (the hype is real). Many of you like me will never have even toured the colleges you applied to from halfway across the world. Naturally many questions arise when you get here, and I’ve put down the answers to a few.

I love Radha Yoga because it’s proximity to USC and it’s location next to Nature’s Brew, one of my favorite local cafes. The studio is also a place of tranquility with natural lighting from the multiple windows that allows fresh air to breeze on through the studio. In case you haven’t noticed, there is construction of a huge ramp going on right in front of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Come Saturday, that 16-story ramp will be packed with snow—yes snow—and some of the best snowboarders in the world will be doing mad jumps and tricks, competing against one another in a head-to-head battle to be named Air + Style Tour Champion.

This past weekend I turned 21. I had a great birthday (aside from the loss to Stanford) with great friends and even some family that flew in town from Virginia to visit me. While part of me is terrified of getting any older and wants to freeze time where it is, I’m mostly just excited to be able to explore new areas of USC and the nearby LA area that I couldn’t explore before! Below are some nearby places I can now legally enter/order from that I couldn’t before.

While exploring the heart of Downtown LA will offer you infinite possibilities, there are still some great options that are just a walk, bike ride or free USC Uber away from campus.
